I am originally from Malmesbury, in the northern part of Wessex where my father, Ealdred the Elder, was a moneyer under the good King Aethelred II. I left Malmesbury to seek my fortune in the Western lands. I've since moved to Coldedernhale where I pursue my craft as a moneyer as a member in good standing of the Northshield Moneyers Guild. In addition I am learning the trades of the black smith and white smith.
