Greetings, Northshield! I - and many others - have tried to impress upon each of you the need for a Northshield website profile. "But", I hear you say, "it's such a hassle to log in and create a profile! I know a profile would make it easier for me to recommend other people for awards, or for my friends to recommend me for awards, or for the marshals to track my authorizations. But I can't find the button! And there are so many questions to answer! And so many fields to fill in! Why can't the web team make it easier? Why can't the web team hold my hand through the process?"
Your prayers have been answered. This weekend I will be at the Northshield Kingdom Arts and Sciences Open Division and Triathalon Tournament this weekend at or near the Heraldic Consulting table, and I will have a laptop set up so that you can walk up, create a profile, and be on your way.
Also, if you're a teacher with a handout in electronic format and you'd like that handout to be uploaded to the class resources page on the Northshield website (http://northshield.org/Posts/ClassResources.aspx), I can do that. Walk up, hand me a USB stick, and continue down the hall to your class; tell your students that they can download the handout from the website. Viola! Instant gratification!
As an added bonus, I can also address website-related issues. Do you have multiple profiles which you'd like merged? No problem! Missing an authorization on your profile? I can fix that! You received an award but it's not showing up on the website? I'm on it!
