June 2010 Northwatch Missive

Greetings Brothers and Sisters of Nothshield,

Included in this month’s Northwatch are theupdated rules for youth combat. After talks with the Society Earl Marshal (SEM),and input from Northshield, some changes were made to both the rules and theguidelines. As always if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Reminders from the SEM:

• All marshals that to be a marshal in the SCA you must be a member of the SCA. Please make sure your membership is valid.
• All marshals must remember to check to make sure lanyard or triggers are used on every single handed weapon. A tight fit is not a substitute for a lanyard. Please be diligent in your checking the weapons.

The drums of war continue to call to us all Rememberto train your body for the long war season ahead of you. Stretch and continueto be safe, drink water and know your limits, There is no dishonor is taking abreak.
