April 2011 Northwatch Missive

Greetings!

I’ve a number of things to cover this month and they are allover the place, kinda like the dandelions that my mother has in her yard inCalontir. I have a feeling, writing this in late February, we still do not havedandelions up here in Northshield. That’s OK. No kingdom I’d rather be in thanNorthshield. Let it snow.

So, firstly, I am changing the reporting schedule for groupMoAS to better support my reports to Society. Reports are now coming due onMarch 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1. There will be some leeway for theJune 1 report while everyone gets updated, but I will expect reports from allgroup MoAS on September 1. Thank you very much for your attention to this newschedule and I welcome discussion on the email list.

Along with this, I am rewriting parts of the MoAS Manual.Have any ideas? Please send your comments to me. It is also available in itsdraft-form at jonya.com/arts/if you wish to comment there.

It will not be done, perhaps, but we will have a review anddiscussion at Officers’ Day on April16. There will also be a Documentationclass and an Entry/Judging Reviewclass, as I feel MoAS can serve as resources to their local groups in theseareas. I hope to see you there.

The Northstar istaking submissions. For guidelines and deadlines, check the Northshield Hall orhttp://jonya.com/Northstar/. By the time this edition reaches you, Toki and Iwill have information available.

The summer A&S Fair is going to be at St. Radegund’s Faire and we are going tohave awesome things to do there. Keep an eye on the website and the Hall.Additionally, I’ve got a number of competitions scheduled throughout the springand summer and I’m sure we are going to have a lot of fun together.

And finally, that last dandelion I’m enjoying in my mother’syard is the great A&S events coming up in April. From Liars, Cheats and Thieves... on April 2 to Games People Played on April 30, there are six A&S-heavy eventsthis month. April promises to be a lot of fun!
