Minor Welsh border nobility, end of the 14th century into the beginning of the 15th. In terms of English monarchs, that would be the last of the reign of Richard II, and those of Henry IV and Henry V, eventually reaching that of Henry VI, I suppose. At some point—probably when I was much younger—I survive the Agincourt campaign of 1415.
I started in the SCA in September, 1974, some months after the Shire of Nordskogen was formed. Indulged in fighting (which then included armoring), heraldry, writing, holding offices as needed, and, of course, reading about history.
Offices, once upon a time:
Herald (first Nordskogen shire pursuivant, first Principality Herald)
Seneschal (shire, first Northshield regional)
Stallarar for Northshield as Crown Principality
Kingdom Law Clerk (first), deputy of Seneschal
Armored Combat Marshal of the Field
In these days:
Herald at large and (very) occasional internal commenter
