Warm greetings as the days grow chill, I would like to thank everyone who made last month’s special edition a wonderful gift for their Majesties! What great content and amazing artwork! We truly do have so much talent here in Northshield.
We are looking forward to some more great issues. This month is full of tasty treats for not only the eyes, but the tummy as well. The themes seem to be working well and we would like to continue with that idea so here is the upcoming line up:
• December / January – Winter Projects
• January – Color cover contest. There will be a prize.
• February – The art of courtly love, send us your poems, songs, stories, and flirtations.
• March – The art of war, share your tactics, strategies, tips on how to lead an army and other items to help prepare for going off to a big war.
• April – General Northshield silliness / schtick. Silly songs/stories/poems/art. about NS' history and our "characters".
Stay tuned for more themes to come! If you have something you would like to see as a future theme we would love to have your suggestions.
The color cover contest is something we look forward to every year, it is the one time a year where we get to do a full color cover!! We have a LOT of talented artists in these halls and we would love to see what you can do! The contest will be judged by the royal family to pick their favorite, other items will be used inside the issue or for future covers. To sweeten the pot not only will the chosen artist have their work on the special color cover there will be a prize too!
If you have items you think would be of interest that fit into one of these themes please send them to us at northwatch@northshield.org and we will set to work on getting them in line for the upcoming issues. If you have questions about submissions, a helpful guide can be found on the Kingdom website. Feel free to send items in early for future issues - we love getting content early!
