For me the warm and event-filled summer season pass faster every year. When planning your summer, please include Officer’s Day, August 27th, in the Shire of Korsväg. One of my goals is to build greater understandings of the requirements of the exchequer position throughout our kingdom. Among the classes we are planning is the Exchequer for the Non-Exchequer. This class will focus on how local exchequers interact with other officers and event stewards. This is also a great class for anyone who has considered serving their branch as an exchequer but is uncertain of the duties.
I would like to remind all groups when changingexchequers or deputy exchequers that additionaldocuments are required. Because this positionhandles money on behalf of the Society, we arerequired to obtain the paper change-of-officerform, copy of a government-issued ID and proofof paid membership. The documents may be sentvia email or mail, but must be received before Ican approve the new exchequer or deputies.
In addition, the kingdom is in need of a CentralRegional Exchequer. With changes to the financialpolicy, the Regional Exchequers will be a vital stepon the reporting process. I invite any experiencedexchequers to consider applying for the position.I would be happy to discuss the position andanswer questions.
