Greetings, Northshield!
The arrival of spring brings plenty of changes for the Northshield Chronicler’s office! We are working on building up a Communications Office within Northshield, which will be organized under the office of the Kingdom Chronicler. The goal is to improve communications both internal to Northshield and external to the Known World (and modern world). As I take on this new role, I want to thank His Excellency Maestro Christoforo for his work with the Chronicler’s office the past few months, and for his willingness to retain the critical office of Northwatch Editor.
The Kingdom Chronicler will “oversee” the various official forums associated with or managed by the Kingdom through the following Lesser Officers: Event Information Officer, Media Relations Officer, Northwatch Editor, Social Media Officer, and Webminister (and all of their deputies). As part of the initiatives to improve communications, please refer to the list on the website of “Who Do I Contact?” (located at the bottom of the “Officers” tab) for certain questions/updates/etc. Contacting the right officer allows us to direct the information to the right people as expediently as possible to assist you. It can also help you get to know what the various kingdom officers do. :)
On behalf of the kingdom officers at all levels, please refrain from contacting a kingdom officer for official business needs via Facebook/Messenger, and instead use the “@northshield. org” email aliases instead. This lets our officers keep their own (non-office-related) social media accounts private to their own preferences, to keep the necessary people included in the communications, and to help maintain the records for the offices that are required to be kept and passed along to their successors.
Finally, we are charting a new path here and I’m open to your feedback about what works or what doesn’t in our current communications situation. Please send your comments to commfeedback@northshield.org - I can’t promise that every suggestion will be implemented, but I will certainly be reading them all and assessing where we can do better (or where we shouldn’t break something that already works!).
