January 2011 Northwatch Missive

Greetings Northshield!

As I write this missive snow flakes fly pastmy windows, making me glad to have the warmth of my fire. I hope all of youfind equally warm environs to help get you through the long, dark winter.

I have just heard from His Lordship LeolinGofar that he is ready to step down as Central Regional Herald. He has heldthis office well and ably for the last two years and I thank him for hisdedicated service. This leaves me in need for a new regional herald. Are you anexperienced herald in Lakes Region? Drop me a line if you are interested. Jobresponsibilities include gathering reports each quarter from group heralds,answering questions and generally being a helpful herald.

Don’t forget to comment on Baldric onheraldic submissions from around Northshield at http://web.northshield.org:8081/. Youdon’t have to be an experienced book herald to contribute – really! You canverify documentation, conflict check names, and simply ask questions aboutsubmissions. Oftentimes obvious issues are missed by more experiencedcommentators.
