February 2011 Northwatch Missive
Spring should be springing soon and many are preparing to head south to find it earlier than the rest of us. How I would love to be with them again, though I am consoled that we shall be journeying to cruise the River Danube. Spring is definitely a time for us all to look forward to for one reason or other.
Primus. The theme this month was a dual one—“Saints in History” and “Friendship & Love”—and we had submissions on both counts, at least a bit. The theme for March will be “Spring Husbandry,” so dust off your trowels and gloves and let us know what you are doing with your gardens and lands. My last issue should be the April issue and I think it will be nice to stick with the traditional theme “Foolishness,” for I love being foolish.
Secundus. The membership forms in this issue reflect the new membership prices. Please use these from now on or go to sca.org to download the latest versions.
Quod denique. Oddly enough, I will have very little travel for the SCA in March with our upcoming trip overseas. I am likely to be at Fighters’ School in Windhaven at the end of February and then, who knows? Someone else might have to take photos for a change.
