Premiers of the Order of the Mark Announcement

As has been announced to lands near and far, the Society for Creative Anachronism has created the Order of the Mark, the new peerage for ranged martial pursuits, such as target archery, combat archery, siege weaponry, mounted archery, and thrown weapons. As many are eager for news of this exciting time, We wish to share Our expectations for the opening of the Order in Northshield.

This Friday, May 2, We will announce online the names of the three principal members and bid them sit vigil in preparation for elevation (or, as phrased in the SCA's official announcements, issue writs for the principals of the Order).

In Our court at Northshield Spring Crown Tournament we will announce the principals again and celebrate them in person.

The first day on which elevations to the Order of the Mark may commence is June 7, 2025, and thus it is Our wish that the three principals be elevated at Kingdom Arts & Sciences Faire, to be held on that day in the Barony of Nordskogen.

It is an honor to serve as Crown for this momentous occasion, and We look forward to this time of joyful celebration!
