Welcome To Battlemoor

Battlemoor is a six day event hosted by the Kingdom of the Outlands, one of the 20 Kingdoms of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).
Please join us as we spend the week in the shadow of beautiful mountains renewing friendships from both far and near. We will spend our days in glorious battle and gentle arts and our nights in revelry and music.
The gate will open at noon on Wednesday the 31st of August, 2016. Battlemoor formally ends on Monday the 5th of September, 2016 at noon. New for Battlemoor VII: those who are pre-registered may arrive on Tuesday the 30th at noon! (You must still stop at gate; everyone in the vehicle must be pre-registered.)
The year 2016 Gregorian marks the 30th anniversary of the birth of the Kingdom of the Outlands. Photos, stories, songs and artifacts are welcomed as we share memories of the history of the Mighty Outlands. Please contact Master Jethro Stille to help with the Outlands History Museum or to contribute items.
We are excited to welcome you to this beautiful site and are committed to helping find the best campsite for you and your companions. Therefore, the wonderful Hospitality Corps will greet you at gate and assist you in finding your camping spot. Look for the fabulous pink sashes and ribbons!

The Battlemoor site is a privately owned ranch in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains.  There are trees for shade, open fields perfect for battle, a small creek and lovely views of the mountains.
The ranch is north of Walsenburg Colorado, a small town approximately 60 miles north of the Colorado/New Mexico border.  Access to the ranch is from the major I-25 corridor onto a 5 mile stretch of county dirt road.  The last mile or so to the site is on the private land and is well groomed and easily passable.
