Stag Hunt is a very old and storied event that was put on by our shire for many years and is now being revitalized. The Hunt is about gathering together for competition, tall tales, and feasting because, as we all know, Winter is Coming. We have an indoor site with many rooms for classes and games, with outdoor space for heavy and rapier if the weather permits. If the weather does not permit, we can still have unarmored classes in arts martial.
A detailed schedule will be posted soon, but this is a laid back event with afternoon classes, tourneys, and lounging about all day from 10am to 4:30pm with feasting to begin by 5pm.
The highlight of the event will be at the feast where all are invited to participate in the telling of Fairly-Short Mostly-True Tall-Tales about people and events in our Kingdom's past. Feast is a pot luck. We do not have use of a massive kitchen, but there is an oven and places to plug in hot plates and other heatware.
The event begins at 10 with early arrival for set up allowed at 9am. It ends at 8pm, but the afterparty may continue elsewhere, as the site is Very discreetly dry - they are allowing us to break their rules about alcohol in order that everyone over 21 who wishes may have One glass of spirits with their meal.
