9 - 16 people in the tournament 2 pools, top 2 from each pool advance
> 16 people 4 pools top 1 advance from each pool.
Ties broken by the match that occurred between the fighters in the pool. Any multi-way mutually destructive ties will be re-fought.
Top 4 enter standard double elimination.
- First round - 1 bout
- Second round - Lower bracket must win 2 out of three, upper bracket need only win 1 out of three.
- Finals - best 2 out of 3.
Entrants must be suitable to the crown.
