Here Ye, Here Ye, Let it be known that the Shire of Dreibrucken is looking for brave souls to step back a few centuries (into a recreated time) and let their fighting, bardic, equestrian, archery, or other skills SHINE.

Our event takes place in a beautiful little valley along the Cannonball River in ND. Even though rustic, the site has a centralized bath house with toilets, running water, showers; a main hall for indoor activities; and a large outside firepit (with plenty of firewood available) for those late night sagas of heroic tales and great adventures. Being a large site with lower attendance than large events there are many quiet restful spots. Picnic tables as well as tables with chairs are set up in many shaded areas including next to the main hall for gatherings and activities. Being away from the modern world the stars shine extra bright in this small valley allowing for those interested in the night sky to view them as the ancient astrologers once did. This years we will have the honor of viewing the “Comet Stars” (Perseid meteor shower) that the Roman historian Cassius Dio referred to.

In by gone days our Shire hosted a Renaissance period Masquerade Ball, we are honored to include this at Bardic Blades this year. There will also be a competition to pick the Lord and Lady of the Masquerade by populous vote – There will be a Mask making class on site or you may bring your own.

This site also allows and has an area for equestrian activities, as well as plenty of terrain for just riding with your favorite Lord or Lady. If you choose to bring your horses, you are responsible for all of the rules required by North Dakota (travel health certificates, weed free hay, etc..).

**The northern plains in August can see a wide range of weather. Please pack garb and camping gear appropriate to a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions.**
